Cotton Candy
How long does cotton candy last? Cotton candy can keep at least two weeks in a tub and one week in a plastic bag. Keep it sealed well and store at room temperature (never refrigerate it!). Moisture melts cotton candy — exposing the fluff to air shortens its shelf life.
Can I mix flavors? Yes— flavors can be blended together or layered! (Check out our full menu)
Why is the cotton candy white? We use only natural ingredients — no artificial colors or flavors. We sometimes add a blush of pink or blue with natural food coloring made from hibiscus, raspberries, or blueberries. Since natural food dyes can affect the overall flavor, we use it sparingly and only on request.
Is your cotton candy organic, vegan, kosher, or gluten-free? The ingredients in all our cotton candy flavors are gluten-free and most are vegan and kosher, and we use only organic sugar and natural flavors. However, some of our toppings are not vegan, kosher, or gluten-free, and a few include artificial flavors or colors (we’re look at you, Pop Rocks!). We can answer any questions about ingredients and provide custom menus to meet any dietary needs.
Is your cotton candy allergen-free? Our flavors do not have any common allergens. Some of our toppings include wheat, eggs, milk, soy, and nuts. If you have any questions, please ask. Note: We operate out of our home kitchen, which is not allergen-free.

Can I suggest a flavor? Yes! We love new ideas for flavors and toppings. Send us your idea and you just might see it added to the menu.
How did you get into cotton candy, anyway? We were smitten after sampling candy made by a friend of the family in the Twin Cities (Spinning Wylde, teaching a master class on creative cotton candy!). We wanted to bring the fun and joy to our Bay Area community.
Ordering, delivery & shipping
Can I order online? Not yet, but you can contact us online to place an order. As a small, family-run boutique shop, we offer personalized service to every customer. We create limited quantities of treats, too, so having a brief conversation first helps ensure we can create exactly what you’re looking for.
What types of payment do you accept? Apple Pay, Google Pay, Paypal, checks, cash, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.
Do you offer gift certificates? Yes, we offer gift certificates in any denomination. Contact us for a printed card, or send an egift card instantly.
Do you have gift baskets? Yes, we offer gift sets of cotton candy as well as combinations of candy, jam, and cookies. You can choose your flavors or we can select a set for you. Check out our menu for options, including cotton candy collections such as Floral Bouquet, Summer Picnic, and Cocktail Bar.
Can I find Sweet Silk Treats in stores? Not yet, but we may explore selling in area stores in the future. (Know a shop that might be interested? Let us know!)
Do you ship? No — we can only sell directly to customers, per our cottage food operation permit.
Do you deliver? Yes, when possible, for a small fee. Pickup at our Sunnyvale home is free. We charge $3 for delivery within the zone below, and $5 for delivery elsewhere in Santa Clara County.
